Things I'm Lovin' Tuesday: Farmer's Markets!

This is a non-sponsored review and I purchase my own Farmer's Market goodies.

Last year I started a monthly blog series called
THINGS I'M LOVIN' TUESDAY!!!
Past post can be found:
herehereherehereherehereherehereherehereherehere and here!!
And make sure to check back every last Tuesday of the month!

Now onto what I'm lovin' this month...

I've been going to farmer's markets for years.
There's a great little one just a few miles from my house on Sundays.
But I was recently introduced to two other amazing ones in Los Angeles.

I had heard good things about the Calabasas Farmer's Market
and just a few Saturdays ago I finally went for the first time.
While it was bigger than the farmer's market in Encino,
parking was a little more of a hassle unless you wanted to pay.

My boyfriend took me to the Brentwood Farmer's Market recently
and it was by the best farmer's market I've ever been to!
It was huge and the quality of the goods were amazing.
And parking is surprisingly pretty easy for the area on a Sunday.

What are your favorite goodies to buy at the farmer's market?

And if you're Los Angeles local - what's your favorite farmer's market in the area?

Home Tour Link Up!

Last December, a fellow blogger came up with an idea I loved!
which happens two Tuesdays every single month!

I knew I wouldn't be participating in every single one,
or even every month for that matter,
but a few struck my fancy and I marked them in my planner!

I take pride in keeping a nice, clean home,
and am always thinking of ways to redo or redecorate something.
So you bet I was excited for today's Show and Tell:
HOME TOURS!!!

While I don't currently live in a house,
I have worked hard to make my apartment a "home"
and I'm excited to share it with you guys today!

Come on in!
I almost always have a some sort of seasonal decor outside my front door.
And if it's a wreath, you can bet I made it myself!

Two different views of the front door from inside.

While I do wish I had a more updated kitchen, as a renter I can't be too picky.
I do love how open it is though, because it makes entertaining so much easier!

I also love the open living/dining room with vaulted ceilings.
Confession - my living room already looks a tad bit different.
I made some small changes, but I didn't have time to snap new pictures!

A few more shots of the dining and living room from different areas of my apartment.

Head down the hall and the guest bath is the first door to the left.
Having an extra bathroom is a must with any type of company!

The rest of the hallway from a few different directions.

Continue down the hall and the second door to the left is the den.
Also known as the guest room when I have family in town visiting.

And at the end of the hall you finally reach my bedroom!
And guess what? These pictures aren't 100% accurate either
because I've made a few small changes in here too.
I told you at the beginning of the post - I'm always redecorating!

More views of the bedroom.

And yet even MORE views of the bedroom!
I lost a walk in closet when I moved into this place,
but the wall of closets has proved to be pretty amazing too!

Lastly, the master bath that is connected to my bedroom.

I hope you've enjoyed the virtual tour of my little home in Los Angeles!

Tacolandia 2015!

This past is a little different than normal.
I'm not sharing about anything I made,
but instead about something fun I did this past weekend!

If you follow me on Instagram,
you may have already seen some of the fun.

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend Tacolandia.
Tacolandia was held in Downtown Los Angeles
and over 80 taco vendors were showing off their yummy tacos.

Keep reading to see some of tacos I ate and the fun I had!

We took the Red Line Subway from Universal City...

To Union Station Downtown!

And after a short wait to get our wristbands...

It was time to start eating tacos!!!

And of course drink some yummy beer too!
Gotta wash down the tacos somehow, right?

After trying too many tacos to count,
I was already past the point of being full...

But then we saw there was a past Top Chef serving Filthy Tacos!
They apparently get their name from the cut of brisket that's used.

Katsuji Tanabe himself was making the tacos!

And while it was the longest line we waited in all day,
they were, without a doubt, my favorite taco I tried!
At this point I was already super stuffed,
but you better believe I ate the whole thing!

After spending a few hour at Tacolandia,
my feet were sore and my belly was more than full...

So I grabbed a Club Soda on the way out
and headed back to Union Station to catch the subway!

Saturday's event was the third annual Tacolandia.
If they have one again next year,
there's a pretty good chance I'll be there again!
And you should too!!!

LA Visitors!

I've mentioned in a few past post that my parents visited me in Los Angeles recently. What I didn't mention was that my mom and dad were just two of the visitors I had stay over that weekend!

I got to spend some quality time with my brother after we surprised our parents one night. My parents had NO idea that he was going to be in LA too, so it was an extra special night.

Please excuse the fake smile and deer in the headlights look...

The next night, my grandma and cousin came up to join us at the Dodger's game!

Excited for the game!

Our seats were AMAZING - 5 rows from the field! I can't believe how close we were. It was my cousin's first MLB game, so it was another extra special night!

Let's Go Dodgers!!!

My parents, grandma, cousin and myself all enjoyed breakfast at a family owned place really close to my apartment. We went there as a group of five once before, so now it's become a tradition!

Proof that Grandma drank Iced Coffee!
She never drinks coffee!!!

Post Breakfast pictures with Grandma and Aly.

And one with Mom, Dad and Grandma too!

Over the long weekend, I got to spend a lot of relaxing quality time with my parents, which unfortunately is something that doesn't happen often enough. As usual - the visit was far too short, but I look forward to seeing them again soon!
