Simplified Cinnamon Sugar Pull Apart Bread

I've made Cinnamon Sugar Pull Apart Bread before.
And I even blogged about it in 2011 here.
It was so good, but does take some time.

I've thought about making it again,
but just never got around to doing so.
That is until I found a MUCH more simple way!

While browsing other blogs I found this recipe and was blow away!
Pizza dough to make Pull Apart Bread?
I knew I needed to try that.

And try is exactly what I did not too long ago.
But because I'm me, I can't do things "normal"
Nope, instead I turned it into MINI Pull Apart Loaves.

Keep reading to see how easy and delicious they really are!!!

The Goods:
Refrigerated Pizza Dough
Butter
Sugar
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Mini Loaf Pans

Mix up your sugar and spices.
I had more than enough and used the following:
1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.

Remove your pizza dough from the tube and roll it out flat.

Melt your butter and then liberally brush it on the pizza dough.

Now sprinkle the sugar and spice mixture all over.

Cut the dough in half horizontally.
And then cut each half into eight pieces vertically.
You should end up with 16 long, thin strips of dough.

Stack one complete side (eight pieces) on top of each other.

Repeat with the other eight pieces so you have two stacks of eight.

Next, cut each stack into four pieces.

Grease two mini loaf pans.
Put all of one sack of dough in one pan,
and all of the other stack in the second pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cover with foil if starting to darken too fast.
Remove from oven when deep golden brown.

Cool in the loaf pans for about 30 minutes.

Using a butter knife, loosen the bread from the pan.
Then carefully remove and place it on a plate to serve.

Start pulling those pieces apart and ENJOY!!!

Now that I know how easy I can make Pull Apart Bread using Pizza Dough,
I'm not sure if I'll ever be patient enough to make it the "old" way again!

Homemade Freezer Meals!

I absolutely love cooking, but with my schedule
I don't always have time to whip up a homemade meal.

So over the years, I've become smarter
and realized I can make certain things ahead of time,
pop them in the freezer and then bake/heat at a later time!
This has come in hand on NUMEROUS occasions.

You've read about all of these recipes before,
but I thought I'd put them all in one place for you.
For most of the recipes listed -
I usually make enough to eat once (and have leftovers)
and a similar size to freeze and eat again soon!

and MORE Soup

I have some ideas for more freezer meals to make in the future,
but am always looking for suggestions so please send them my way!

Friday Link Ups: My Birthday Weekend Plans!

Happy Friday Everyone!!
I'm back today for another Friday Link Up!
And again, I'm linking up with THREE different groups.
Make sure to check them all out at the bottom of this post!

My birthday is tomorrow and I'm spending the weekend away.
It's not a big birthday or anything, but I still have some fun things in store.
So I thought today would be a great day to share
FIVE BIRTHDAY WEEKEND PLANS!!!
Keep reading to find out what I have going on.

1. Wine Tasting!
Photos via here
With Napa, the Central Coast and Temecula all relatively close,
it's pretty crazy that I've never been wine tasting!
I'm changing that today and hitting up a few wineries with family and friends.

2. Hanging out with Family and Friends!
Hanging out with family and friends doesn't stop with wine tasting.
Nope, I plan to spend a few days with some pretty awesome people.
And if I'm being honest, I can't wait to celebrate my birthday with them!

3. Eating some yummy food!
And because I'm ME, I already have the menus planned out.
I won't be doing all the cooking, but I will be eating well!
I'm super excited for some fluffy pancakes and bbq'd salmon.

4. Horseback riding!
And of course we'll be doing some horseback riding!
Not only is it something that I love to do
but I can't wait to wear my new cowboy boots!!!

5. Relaxing in the hot tub...and maybe even the pool!!
Yup, you read that right folks.
I'll be hot tubing for sure, but I'll still be in Southern California,
so if the weather's nice enough I may take a dip in the pool too.
