Since I live in an apartment, I don't have a yard to make the vegetable garden I wish I could...
BUT that didn't stop me from making some kind of garden!
I decided I was going to re-purpose a big plastic Rubbermaid container that I had but wasn't really using for anything except holding a cooler (don't ask - I don't know why I thought a cooler needed to be in there to be protected...). So Saturday morning I ventured to Sperling Nursery to get some goodies! I left with the following:
and Scallions...
(but there's not a picture of that yet because I am starting those from seeds!)
I can't wait to go back to explore the place even more and I plan on going there from now on instead of some other outdoor supply centers for plants/veggies. Not only is the quality better, but the prices are cheaper!
I also started a tomato plant in the Topsy Turvy Tomato planter about a month ago. The plant was originally 4" and now...it's just thriving! I have 2 baby tomatoes and tons of other flowers and buds waiting to flower.
I'll keep the updates coming as the plants continue to grow! Can't wait to taste some of my crops soon.
