Homemade Trail Mix

I remember eating my mom's homemade trail mix on many occasions! On road trips, camping, at sporting events, for snacks...the possibilities are ENDLESS! Not only are there many places to eat the delicious mix, there are many different ways it can be made. And it's SO easy to make too!

I recently made a batch that was based on the one my mother made - M&M's, raisins, mixed nuts, and mini marshmallows, but I added a few more thing. I bought a few of the items, but threw in other things I had in my pantry. So what ended up in my delicious mix?

Let me show you!
M&M's (Milk & Dark Chocolate), Raisins, Craisins, Salted Peanuts, Sunflower Seeds, Slivered Almonds, Mini Marshmallows and Coconut Flakes.

Mix it all together and you're done!

Store in a ziplock bag or other airtight container.

I hadn't seen one of my best friends in almost a month and she came over Saturday to hang out. We decided ahead of time we were going to make something festive too and we ended up deciding on Surprise Pumpkin Rice Krispy Treats.

You can see the recipe in the link above, but here's a quick photo step by step.

Cocoa Pebble Marshmallow Treats

I was recently looking at the traffic on my blog and realized that many people were interested in my Fruity Pebble Marshmallow Treats!  Because of that I decided I'd give another type of chewy treat a try this weekend.

I've done the traditional Rice Krispy ones numerous times and even tried Apple Jacks once too.  This time I was in the mood for something chocolaty though, so I went with Cocoa Pebble Marshmallow Treats!

The Cocoa Pebbles

The Marshmallows

All mixed up!

It was so hard to let it cool, but I managed to wait long enough.

How were they?

Mouthwatering!!!

The marshmallow in a way tasted like the milk if you'd eaten the Cocoa Pebbles the traditional way.

These babies will absolutely be made again in the future!

Hope you all enjoy these as much as you seemed to enjoy the Fruity Pebble ones. :)
